Katie Bishop is a Specialist Registrar in Diabetes and Endocrinology and General Medicine in Merseyside, UK. She studied medicine at the University of Liverpool where, during placement at the Countess of Chester Hospital, the zealous teaching of Dr David Ewins ignited her passion for Diabetes and Endocrinology. Through her junior doctor training working in Bristol, Taunton and Liverpool, she has developed a particular interest in improving patients’ experience of living with type 1 diabetes. Her posters have been presented at Diabetes UK and RCOG World congress, and she has published case reports on different aspects of type 1 diabetes care in Practical Diabetes.
