Graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Mindanao State University (MSU) Main Campus in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, in April 2006, Dr. Lao subsequently earned her Doctor in Medicine degree from Cebu Doctors’ University College of Medicine, Cebu City, in March 2010. Her commitment to excellence is evident in her postgraduate endeavors, including a comprehensive internship at Cebu Doctors’ University Hospital from April 2010 to March 2011, where she demonstrated her proficiency by passing the Physician Licensure Examination in August 2011 in Cebu City. Dr. Lao's professional journey spans various roles across different medical institutions. She served as a Surgical Resident, actively participating in the Mindanao Consortium on Surgical Training. During this period, she gained valuable experience at Capitol University Medical Center and Maria Reyna Xavier University Hospital, both located in Cagayan de Oro. Currently holding the position of Medical Officer IV at Amai Pakpak Medical Center in Marawi City since January 2018, Dr. Lao continues to pursue her professional development. Engaged in a lateral entry residency program in Urology at Northern Mindanao Medical Center, she exemplifies dedication to advancing her expertise in the field.
