Lacey Miller is a rising 4th year medical student at A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. Growing up on the US-Mexico border, she witnessed firsthand the glaring disparities in healthcare access. Determined to make a difference, she enrolled in a medical school that prioritized training in community hospitals and health centers, with a specific focus on underserved populations. She have had the opportunity to train in New York City where she have chosen to further explore inequalities observed in healthcare in various communities. She have had the opportunity to publish several papers in pediatric gastroenterology (JPGN) and dermatology (European Journal of Dermatology) and Oncology (JCO Global Oncology) as well as present at multiple conferences including Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association, National Association of Community Health Centers Community Health Institute, 12th Annual Symposium for Global Cancer Research and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
