Dr. Deeksha Borkar was born in India and completed her schooling and college in her hometown of Mumbai. She moved to St. Petersburg, Russia for medical school where she completed 6 years of medical training at the Saint Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University. She returned to India after completing her medical school training and continued her ongoing practice in pediatrics. Dr. Deeksha entered the pediatric residency program at the University of Minnesota where she is currently in her final year of training. She is highly interested in research and while in residency, she completed a graduate degree of Masters of Public Health from the University of San Francisco in August 2021. She aspires to pursue a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine in the future.
