Dr Vishnu Bhat is presently working as Director – Medical Research and Professor of Paediatrics and Neonatology at AVMC, Pondicherry. He retired as Director from the prestigious medical Institute JIPMER in 2018 after working there in various capacities for nearly 35 years. Neonatology. He has published around 382 Scientific papers, 60 Chapters in books and edited books on Protein Energy Malnutrition and NICU protocols of JIPMER. He was Associate Editor of Indian Journal of Paediatrics and reviewed articles for various Medical Journals. ?He has received many awards – Best scientific paper award by JIPMER Scientific Society, ?BR Santhanakrishnan award for best paper in Tamilnadu thrice, IAP? Oration of National Neonatology Forum, Internal Oration of JIPMER scientific society, Raj-neocon oration, NNF fellowship, WHO fellowship in Basic MCH care to Nepal & Thailand for 2 weeks and WHO fellowship in Neonatology at the University of Ilinois, Chicago, USA for 6 months.
