Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung is a distinguished Vietnamese researcher. In 2009, he earned his PhD in Solid Mechanics and Manufacturing Engineering from Inha University in Korea. Presently, he holds a position as an Associate Professor specializing in structure dynamics and mechatronics at the Vietnamese German University (VGU). Over the past six years, he has also served as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at VGU, a collaborative institution established by the Vietnamese and German Governments. Previously, he held the role of Dean of Mechanical Engineering at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh for three years. He has authored over 100 journal papers (including approximately 70 ISI papers) and contributed three book chapters. Additionally, he has presented his work at more than 30 international conferences. He is the Vice chairman of the Vietnamese Society of Mechanics and the Vietnamese Society of Computational Mechanics. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of the Scientific Committee of Mechanics-Engineering at NAFOSTED (National Foundation for Science and Technology Development, Vietnam).
His research interests encompass a wide range of areas, including smart materials and structures, fluid mechanics, structure optimization, vibration control, intelligent control systems, and precision manufacturing. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung has successfully led seven projects funded by state organizations and a number of projects funded by industry as the principal investigator.
