Jung-Hu Im is a doctoral
student in the School of Social Work at the University of Illinois
Urbana-Champaign. Her research focuses on interpersonal violence, particularly
elder abuse. Additionally, she is interested in the intersection of the
criminal justice system and social services. She received her bachelor's and
master’s degrees in Social Welfare from the University of Seoul and a Juris
Doctor from Inha University in South Korea. She is a certified attorney in
South Korea and has experience working at both law firms, where she handled
various types of cases, and an Elder Protection Agency, where she advocated for
victims of elder abuse.
