Oleg Medvedev  MD, PhD has completed his PhD at the age of 26 years from the 1st Pavlov Medical Institute, Leningrad, Russia and postdoctoral studies from National Cardiology Research Centre, Moscow. In 1992 he was appointed as Dean-organizer to found the School of Medicine at the Lomonosov Moscow State University from scratch. Since 1992 he is Head of the Department of Pharmacology at the School of Medicine. 

Fields of interest are - pharmacology of cardiovascular system, heart failure, pulmonary artery hypertension, antioxidants, biomarkers of the gut microbiota, metabolic syndrome, healthy nutrition. He has published more than 225 papers in reputed journals.
