Dr
Obadiah Moyo is a visionary and creative leader with a proven track record in
both medical and executive management. He is a founder member and Chairman of
the Zimbabwe Kidney Foundation. He also worked as the Chief Executive Officer
of Chitungwiza Central Hospital a 500-bed teaching hospital which became the
first hospital in Zimbabwe to be ISO certified in 2007. He established a
state-of-the-art kidney transplant unit at that hospital with the assistance of
the International Society of Nephrology. Before that, he was instrumental in
the first kidney transplant being carried out in Zimbabwe in 1992.
He
holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the College of Medicine and Health
Sciences, St Lucia, an MPhil degree in Medicine from The University of Zimbabwe,
an MSc degree in Organ Transplantation from the University of Liverpool (UK),
and Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists (UK).
