Dr. Vikas Dharnidharka is the Chief of the Division of Pediatric Nephrology, Hypertension and Pheresis at Washington University in St Louis. He is also the Vice-Chair for Clinical Investigation in the Department of Pediatrics and a tenured Professor of Pediatrics. He holds the Alexis F Hartmann Sr MD Endowed Professorship in Pediatrics.

He obtained his MBBS and MD degrees from Topiwala National Medical College and BYL Nair Hospital, under Bombay University, in 1988 and 1992. He completed his Pediatric Nephrology fellowship training at Children’s Hospital and Harvard University in Boston from 1995-1998. He obtained his MPH degree in Biostatistics from the University of Florida in 2007.

Dr. Dharnidharka has published more than 220 papers, and has received NIH grant support continuously since 2004. He is the Principal Investigator on an R01 grant from the NIAID and a P50 grant from the NIDDK.
