After getting his MD from Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Abdullah Al-Mujaini has moved to Montreal, Canada to complete his post-graduate residency training in Ophthalmology from McGill University. Following, he then finished his fellowship in the field of Orbit, Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the same university.
In the summer of 2006, he joined Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Oman, as a Senior Consultant and Head of Oculo-Plastic Service. In 2016, he moved to the College of Medicine and Health Sciences as an Associate Professor and Head of Ophthalmology Services at Sultan Qaboos University.
Beside his role at Sultan Qaboos University, Dr. Al-Mujaini is the chair of Board of Trustee of University of Buraimi in the Sultanate of Oman and the ex- chair and founder of Ophthalmology Residency Program at Oman Medical Specialty Board.
He has served as the Director of Training at Sultan Qaboos University in the year of 2012-2015.
Dr.
Al-Mujaini is chairing so many committees at the national level and member of
some committees locally, regionally and internationally.
He
has over 65 peer-reviewed publications in international journals and presented
his talks and work in many conferences and events throughout the world.
