Dr. Arthur Zaltz is the Obstetrician and Gynecologist–in-Chief at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He is also Program Chief of the Dan Women’s and Babies Program.

Dr. Zaltz is the Vice Chair of the Division of Core OB/GYN at the University of Toronto and Chair of the Departmental Appointments Committee. He served for over two decades as the site Postgraduate Director.

He joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto in 1987 and has practiced obstetrics and gynecology for over 30 years. He is an Associate Professor.

Dr. Zaltz is responsible for overseeing all clinical, educational and research activities within the department, as well as quality and patient safety.

His clinical focus includes Familial Breast and Ovarian Cancer Syndromes as well as infectious complications of pregnancy. He collaborates with the Maternal Fetal Medicine Program with research into high risk pregnancies.

Dr. Zaltz joined the Board of Directors of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in June 2019 following his appointment as the Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee.
