Professor Samiul Huq, MD, is a 1980 medical graduate from Mymensingh Medical College, Bangladesh.

He completed a diploma in Dermatological Science and a master's in Dermatology from the College of Medicine under the University of Wales, Cardiff, UK. He then obtained his master’s in Public Health from North South University. Professor Samiul Huq worked as a registrar in dermatology in Saudi Arabia for an extended period.

He received post-graduate training in the UK, where he gained advanced training in phototherapy. Before joining Square Hospital, he worked as a professor at ZH Sikder Women's Medical College Hospital. Professor Samiul Huq has many national and international publications.

He is the founder and president of the Psoriasis Awareness Club, Bangladesh, affiliated with the International Federation of Psoriasis Associations. He is the chief coordinator of the Psoriasis Guideline committee in Bangladesh, and his field of interest is how to improve the quality of life of psoriasis patients. This year nominated as a councillor in international psoriasis council (IPC).
