Dr. Lakmali Pathiraja is a Consultant Dermatologist with special interest in aesthetic medicine. She is the first AAAM (American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine) qualified dermatologist in Sri Lanka.

She has obtained her MD from the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and won the award for the Best Performance at the MD. Furthermore, she holds a Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine.

She has done a large number of research studies and been a guest speaker at both local and international conferences and symposia, and been the recipient of numerous international awards for her clinically oriented scholarly contributions to her specialized field.

Currently, she is the Consultant to the Sri Lanka Army Hospital, managing a large number of patients and teaching undergraduates. Her special interests are cosmetic dermatology and trichology.
