Dr. Matthew Kaptein earned a bachelor of
science in Biophysics, and a bachelor of arts in Philosophy from the University
of Southern California. He earned a medical degree at the Keck School of
Medicine of USC. He trained in internal medicine and nephrology at Los Angeles County
+ USC medical center. He practices nephrology at Loma Linda University medical
center in California, where he is an assistant professor of medicine.
He has ten years of hands-on experience in
point-of-care ultrasonography. His research interest is intravascular volume
assessment and management in hospitalized patients.
